Badmi Puri With Hingwali Aloo Ki Sabzi


  • Aloo curry.. aloo- 3 medium boiled
  • Tomato- 1medium
  • Ginger- 1/2tsp grated
  • Red chili- 1
  • Cumin- 1tsp
  • Salt to taste- 1/2tsp
  • Haldi- 1/4tsp
  • Red chili powder- 1/2tsp
  • Kitchen king powder- 1/2tsp
  • Oil- 1tbsp hing- 1/2tsp
  • For badmi Puri .. urad dal- 1/2cup
  • Ginger- 1inch piece
  • Green chili- 1
  • Hing- 1tsp
  • Salt to taste- 1tsp
  • Maida- 1cup
  • Atta- 1/2cup
  • Suji- 2tbsp
  • Oil to fry- 2cups


Soak urad dal for an hour. When done in a blender jar add urad dal-, ginger, green chili and make a smooth paste

In a big mixing bowl add urad dal paste, salt and Hing and mix

Now add atta, maida and suji and also 2tbsp of oil and knead a dough and cover and keep aside for 2 hours

Now prepare aloo curry.. heat oil in a Kadai, add cumin and red chili to it.

Now add cumin and Hing to it and let it crackle.

Now add grated ginger to it and saute. Now add chopped tomatoes to it and add all the spices and cook up to mushy

Then peel and crush boiled potatoes a little and add to the tomato base

Cool for a min or so and add water and let it boil for 5 to 7mins

Now heat oil in a Kadai for deep frying.

Roll the Puris applying little oil on the surface and deep fry up to golden brown..

Serve hot with curry
